Can Playing Video Games Make You More Creative? Hmmm. .

Can Playing Video Games Make You More Creative? Hmmm. .

The next time you get grounded for wasting your time playing games inform your parents that you are merely trying to fire up your imagination. Those that played video games on a regular basis, seemed to be more creative, giving it a title then, and creating a story around it. The researchers are hoping that the results of study will encourage game developers to figure out which part of the games foster creativity.

I am very happy that some people agree that playing video games is not so bad for you after all. I like this article because it talks about how useful playing video games is.

Earth's Close Encounter With A Giant Asteroid

Earth's Close Encounter With A Giant Asteroid

After two free falling satellites now there is a giant asteroid making its way towards earth. The good news is that there is no danger that the 1,300 feet wide space rock called 2005 YU55 will hit earth. The asteroid will pass 201,000 miles away from us. In 2029 an asteroid will pass 99,942 miles away from planet earth.

I hope that there will be no danger of asteroids in the future. On the site I got this information there is a chart of asteroids that past between moon and earth before and the ones that are going to pass.

Mercury - More than a dead rock revolving around the sun

Mercury - More than a dead rock revolving around the sun

Mercury, the smallest and innermost of all planets has always been thought as dull, where no is no evolution. By the NASA's MESSENGER spacecraft captured pictures of large hollows on the surface of the planet, ranging in size over 3 kilometers (60 feet ). The hollows seem to be much younger than the craters they were found inside, scientists believe they were freshly made. A major surprise considering they had previously thought the planet was not evolving at all.

I think that the planet has evolution and maybe some sort of life. You never know what the space craft could discover about Mercury.

Why Ants Never Loose Their Way Picture

Why Ants Never Loose Their Way

Ants are industrious little insects that always find their way. They find their way because they have inside build GPS systems. Scientists found out that these little creatures have magnets build into their antennas, which help them navigate. Ants get their magnetic navigation powers from the minerals in the soil and the earth's magnetic field. Researchers believe that as the ants are walking around tiny mineral soil particles stick to their antennas. However, not all ants navigate in this manner. Some ants like the ones in the desert have special eyes and use the movement of the sun as their GPS system. These tiny creatures may look small and stupid but they have the largest brain when you compare ants to other creatures their size.

I hope that there will be more to find out about these incredible creatures. I think that ants are one of the smartest creatures on earth except us.

"Trojan " Asteroid

Earth's Elusive " Trojan " Asteroid Spotted

First, this asteroid is discovered in Canada's Athabasca University. This is not the first " Trojan " asteroid, because in 1772 5,000 asteroids were spotted. Trojan asteroids are important for scientist's because they hold many clues to the earth's formation. This asteroid makes no danger to earth because it orbit's in front or behind the sun. In Conclusion, this asteroid gives many interest to people and there's hope to find more " Trojan " asteroids.

I think that this asteroid is very interesting and we are very lucky that it does no harm to human race. I find asteroids very interesting because they are everywhere around us in space. Asteroids that are close to the Northern Hemisphere can be tracked but asteroids in the Southern Hemisphere are not tracked.

Dark Alien Planet

Discovery of a Dark Alien Planet

First this planet is 750 million light years away from Earth. Secondly, scientists are describing this planet " darker than coal ". This planet is called TrES-2b and it has a faint red glow similar to the coils on an electric stove. After that, people think that there might be creatures on that planet because there is air but it is 12,000 degrees Celsius on that planet. In Conclusion, this planet has a lot of interesting things and we hope one day humans will be able to set foot on that planet and investigate it.

Discovery of a Diamond Planet

Scientist's have discovered a planet that is very interesting to look at and to investigate about. First, the planet has a pulsar star that is around the planet so it was easy for the scientist's to spot the planet. Secondly, this planet is 4,000 light years away from planet earth. After that, astronomers believe that the " diamond " planet was once a massive star. In Conclusion, the " diamond " planet is very attractive and tells us that planet's are not so boring as we think they are.

Scientific Summer Last Paragraph

The answer to how come a boat or a ship float is because when something is streched out more water pushes against that so it makes that thing float. It's the same as when you strech yourself out in the water the water pushes against you and you float but when you curl up into a ball not that much water pushes against you and you sink. All that is called Buoyancy. Now I know how come boat's/ship's float so easily.

Scientific Summer first paragraph

This summer I was a lot at sea and I saw a lot of boats. I asked myself how come boat's or sailboat's float without anything helping them stay on the surface. If any human would swim and would lay on his back and stay calm it still was very hard for a human to stay on the surface of the water. A boat is 10 times or even more heavier and it float's without any problems. How come?

My 6A Science Class Goals

My 3 goals are to learn new things, to improve my knowledge and hopefully to get good grades:)
